BKFC Liberty Brawl Card Overview
We kick-off an exciting month of July with a return to a home away from home as the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia, PA plays hose for BKFC Liberty Brawl this Friday night. The BKFC Lightweight Championship is on the line in the main event as former BKFC Welterweight Champion and #2 Lightweight Austin Trout (5-0, 2 KOs) tries to become only the 3rd two-weight BKFC champion as he takes on former Interim BKFC Lightweight Champion and #1 Lightweight Ben Bonner (5-2, 3 KOs). Another title is on the line in the co-main event as BKFC Women's Strawweight Champion Britain Hart (10-2, 3 2 KOs) looks to make it 5 successful title defense in a row as she takes on a new title challenger in #1 Women's Strawweight Sarah Shell (3-0, 1 KO). Rounding out the business end of the card is a very exciting matchup in the Middleweight division as hometown favorite Johnny Garbarino (4-0, 4 KOs) takes a big step up in competition as he takes on former BKFC Light Heavyweight Champion and #4 Light Heavyweight Mike Richman (8-3, 7 KOs).
Looking just outside of the top end of the card see's another matchup in the Middleweight division where a local favorite takes a step up in competition as Cody Russell (2-0, 2 KOs) takes on Jake Bostwick (5-2-1, 3 KOs), who will be making a quick turnaround having just fought 2 months ago. Fedor's greatest fear also makes an appearance on this card as Lex Ludlow (3-0, 1 KO) returns for a bout in the Cruiserweight division against Drew Nolan (1-3, 1 KO). Lastly, no Philly card would be complete without an appearance from the Irishman himself as Pat Sullivan (1-2, 1 KO) looks to rebound from a TKO loss in his last outing as he takes on a travelled opponent in Ruben Arroyo (0-4).
Beyond the top of the billing this card is slightly on the lackluster side for being shown on DAZN. However, we should still be in for an entertaining night of fights to kick-off the 4th of July weekend!
