Neville has been in rehab for three rounds now (~3-4 months) and has been doing great! His rehab doctor said we can continue exercises at home but that he’s built up his strength again and the previous muscle atrophy from steroid use is gone. I’m so happy 💜
Have any of you guys experienced motion sickness in this game with all the running around, etc.? What have you done to help this? I really like this game but I can only play for 20 minutes before feeling ill and can’t play for the rest of the day.
I’ve only experienced this with the game “RV There Yet” and just stopped playing because I didn’t like it a whole ton.
Neville has been doing great since his amputation! We’re almost finished with his rehabilitation therapy and they’re super proud of his progress. He’s traversing up and down stairs (with supervision), playing with his favorite toys again, eating, and has become even more of a fan favorite around my job.
He’s been taking short walks around my neighborhood and can almost make it a full block without getting tired. We have a wagon that we bring so when he gets tired he can still participate in the walk ☺️
The bad news is that his leg grew a fungus, which was supposed to be no big deal but he developed a wound a few weeks ago above his eye that grew the same type of fungus. It’s proof that the infection is systemic. He’s off all the immunosuppressants and has been on an anti fungal for almost a month, so keeping my fingers crossed that it continues to work.
Neville had his surgery today and all went as expected. He’s having a little bit of a rougher recovery which I think is because he’s so high from the pain medications that he’s on.
We tried to get him up and outside but he’s not able to walk quite yet. Found a big bladder so they catheterized him which made him feel a lot more comfortable.

This is Neville, who has been given a really poor hand in life. He was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease last year and got put on immunosuppressives. This helped his autoimmune disease but we found an infection in his toe in February. Later diagnosed as nocardia, a bacteria found in dirt. He tried a toe amputation first but he unfortunately developed draining tracts in his foot and further up his leg, despite being on strong antibiotics for months.
To give him the best chance, we have decided to amputate his left forelimb but there isn’t a guarantee that the infection isn’t lingering somewhere else.
Please keep my boy in your thoughts and if you have any advice for adjusting to having only one front leg, I will gladly take it!
