Hello,

I compile my documents in a different output directory.

A package I use, imakeidx, does not support this. There are solutions, such as this one, but I grew tired of copy pasting the same workaround across all my documents.

I therefore wrote a patch for imakeidx.sty, and would like to upstream it so anyone can benefit from it.

I tried to contact the maintainer (EG), but it seems they are not available anymore. The last release of the package was 2016 after all.

I'm a bit at loss with what to do next, hence my posting here.
