I got an email for EIAT in late July. I just got laid off from the apartment maintenance company where I was the lead maintenance. My side works and unemployment actually pay more than apartment pay so no complaints. I have 3 years total of trade experience between hvac and apartment and also i am a veteran. How fast was your hiring after your eiat? I believe interviews are scheduled for august. Not in a rush but was just curious
Hi there. Whats your thoughts on renting an apartment near union hall (Im looking at Jacinto City) once I get hired on? I live near Conroe and obviously the drive down to heights is no joke. I am aware being an elevator guy there is no comfy place to live in perse but at least Jacinto city is close to union hall where classes are at.
Lemme know what you think!
Hey there! I am a Navy veteran applying for the apprenticeship next week. Fortunately and unfortunately I happened to apply around the same time as their regular application window that opens every two years so I will have to apply alongside everybody else. Already applied for H2H just as a back up fallback. Regional coordinator told me I will have less than 30 minutes before the window closes as there are flocks of people applying and they only take 500. My question is, what all did you need to do during the application process. As in, did you need to upload any documents like DL, transcript and maybe proof of residency? Or was it plain fill out the blanks and submit. Thanks for your input already.
Also, ask me if you wanna know exactly how H2H works as I have plenty of information on it already.
Hi, I am a Navy veteran looking to get into IUEC 31 Houston as an apprentice. I just signed up for Helmets to Hardhats account and filled out all the information. I clicked on apply button to Local 31 and it says applied. I thought there will be more hoops to go through but it was unusually easy that it got me dumbfounded. I was curious to other vets who went thru this route: how long did it take before you got contacted? Also, how is your working hours. Are there a lot of OTs? I have background in HVAC and multi home maintenance. I know elevators are different beast but definitely am not a complete newbie. Thanks in advance and semper fi ( I was greenside iykyk)
