I’m a recent graduate 23M URM from Florida. My cumulative GPA is a 3.52. I had an upward trend in my GPA (2.4, 4.0, 3.77, 3.98). My science GPA is 3.62. Scored a 509 MCAT (1st attempt) (126/126/129/128)

I played division one college football.

I have 500+ hours as a medical assistant (1000 more anticipated)

220+ shadowing hours (orthopedic surgery, vascular surgery, oral and Maxillofacial surgery)

100+ volunteer hours in the ED of a Children’s Hospital (100 more an anticipated)

20+ hours volunteering at a food bank (200+ anticipated)

Research assistant opportunity anticipating ~1000 hours (possibly one to two publications)

My preference is MD because I want to pursue a surgical specialty.

Are my stats high enough to apply MD and what schools should I look at?
