Harley Reid’s season

Not sure if it’s just me but this guys season has been very underrated in the AFL community, I find the media is giving him his flowers but the fans can’t stand him.

These are his stats since round 10(GWS game) and where he ranks in the league.

Disposals: 26 25th
Clearances: 7.8 2nd
Inside 50s: 5 15th
Contested possessions: 14.5 3rd
Score involvements: 7 21st
Meters gained: 448

I’m sure we all know it but he’s going to be an absolute star

Gold Coast Suns

Pretty simple question what is wrong with the suns, if you look just at the names they easily have a top 6 list in the league but they sit 14th on the ladder around teams like west coast, port, north and carlton, so genuinely what has gone wrong.

Most overrated and underrated player in the league?

As simple as it sounds, who do you think is the most overrated and the most underrated player in the league?

Best midfield group ever

I was curious and wanted to ask what’s everyone’s opinion on the best midfield group ever, as an eagles fan obviously I gravitate to the 4 of Cousins, Judd, Kerr and Cox.
There’s also the lions 3 peat, Geelong from 07-09, there’s a fair few more options to pick from, just wondering what everyone else thinks.

I don’t think peaking too early is a thing

Essendon assistant package

I’m sure most of you have seen Essendon are going to ask the question on getting an assistant package at the end of the season, I wanted to know do you’s think they deserve it?

I know they haven’t won a final in 20 whatever years but I still don’t think they deserve it, from personal experience being a west coast fan and how bad we had to be just to get 4 extra rookie spots and pick 18 which we traded for Starc, I don’t think they’ve been bad for long enough to warrant them getting it.
Also considering this time 2 years ago they were top 4.

I’ve got a few stats here to show you how bad the eagles were:
took us finishing 17th, 18th, 16th and then 18th with 1 win, set the record for most losses in a season, 171 point loss to Sydney, had a season with 53% which is the lowest since gws joined I believe or a season or 2 after they joined, since ‘22 they’ve had 9 100 point losses while the rest of the league combined have only had 7, as of April 2026 out of our last 100 games we’ve had 44 50+ point losses which is only on par with st Kilda of the 1800s.

Plus I’m sure we remember how long north were on the bottom of the ladder and how bad they were.

Maybe I’m just upset from how long it took us to get our assistant package but if Essendon get it at the end of this season then I’d be a little annoyed.

I’m interested to see what everyone else thinks though.

Edit: also interested to see how much backlash I’m going to get from this post

Reuben Ginbey

After last nights game I think this man has really put the league on notice, he’s in my opinion our most consistent player and one of the most consistent players across the league.

He finished 2nd in our BnF last season and is putting up a near AA level season this year so my question is, how far off is Ginbey from being both of those things this year?

So far this season it’s a 2 person race for our BnF between him and Harley, I could very well see Ginbey winning it just because he’s more consistent game to game.

But how far is he from being an AA this year, i genuinely think he would be in the squad of 44 or close to it if the season finished right now, by the end of the year could he make the team?
