Traveling to china as a transgender man
Hello, what the title says but my friends and I want to travel to China from Australia.
I really want to go however I’m a transgender man and I’m not sure what the policies are around trans tourists.
Unfortunately my passport says F (I can’t change it as of now) but aside from that I pass as male and 100% stealth (ive had top surgery but no bottom surgery). I’ve never been clocked unless I show my passport which makes me nervous about immigration. However all of my documents say F so they are all consistent, and my passport photo still looks like me since I just took it last year.
I would like to know what to expect if I was to go, or if it should be avoided entirely. We will probably be there for a couple of weeks and just take the train around to random cities.
