Birthday in Amsterdam

I apologize upfront for asking (I tried the search bar first, but got mostly older answers).

I will be in Amsterdam for 5 days starting 27/August. I want to smoke a LOT of hash while I am there. Looking for the best full melt (for bowls and such) as well as good Temple Ball/Charas hash for joints/blunts. Also, where to get good blunt wraps that are not just cigars you cut/empty first to get the wrap.

Solo traveler, first Wacken experience.

I am considering purchasing a ticket for 2027. I have never been to Wacken (or Europe, yet), I have also never done a festival with on-site camping. As the title says, I will be a solo traveler. I realize this would be better with a group, but I don't have friends that can make the long journey with me from the US.

What can I expect if I am camping alone at Wacken? I'm 48 and I'm not a huge drinker, but I do enjoy the *greenery". I'd probably arrive that Wednesday and stay till its over.

Also, what would I realistically need for supplies? I can handle the fest food/beverages for a few days, so I won't really worry about camping equipment (stove, etc). So beyond the tent/sleeping bag, what else should I have?

I apologize if this gets asked often, but I am really wanting to experience the Holy Grounds with all of you next year and want to be somewhat prepared. TIA, 🤘😉

Thanks to the little green 🦉...

Let me start by saying that, learning any Dutch/German language as an American is very hard.

I hit this milestone and I still don't feel like I can say much (yet? 🤷‍♂️). I plan to stick with this for a while still as I do have a upcoming trip overseas (Netherlands/Belgium 🇳🇱/🇧🇪) in about 4 weeks (+/-). I know I am nowhere near ready to actually speak Dutch *with* an actual Dutchie, but at least I won't completely be lost if I look at a Dutch food menu (I'll take the wins where I can get em). I will be in Amsterdam, so I will be mostly okay there (lots of English speaking Dutchies). Once I go further south and into Belgium I will have to really do my best and try and understand what I can and use a translator app for when I get stuck. Either way, I feel more at ease having just the little I do know and will be able to just concentrate more on having fun, not worrying about the language barrier.

TL;DR, I wouldn't feel as good as I do about this trip without Duolingo. That little green 🦉 gave me a little bit of hope that I won't be completely screwed on my first overseas trip.

No explanation for homonyms :(

In the German course it offers an explanation of the sentence. I wish Dutch had that option at times. It would be nice if they explained homonyms better.

Duolingo has jokes

I got this as back to back questions.

Bruh! 😐

These were easy, yes. But they don't have diphthongs or "ck, or even a "g" . As an American level 10 feels great. But I'm bout to be "gekookt" once I walk off that plane in Amsterdam.
