Rescheduling Exam-ProctorU issues
Hi guys-
I had my first midterm scheduled for 8pm tonight and I was on trying to resolve technical issues from 7:57pm to 10:15pm. First, I used my personal MacBook Air and was unable to reach the invigilator until 8:20pm due to programs not opening. Then, after much attempt, they connected me with a tech agent at 9pm. They said there was an unknown issue that was making it hard for them to open the needed materials. They asked if there were any other devices in the house, so I used my father’s new Apple desktop. I got pretty far this time (she asked for 360 scans of room, etc). Randomly she said that the wifi was slow and that we would not be able to proceed due to it. I asked her what my options were, as I technically have high-speed internet but just live rurally, and she said to “fix your wifi” and “reschedule.” I have done online school from home from Western, Queen’s, and U of Alberta with no problem.
I am wondering if anyone else has rescheduled an exam and been able to do it within 10 days- say, the same day? I have a conditional acceptance to a master’s program and am on a very tight timeline (no time to review between now and 10 days from now). I also live out of province so can’t write the exams in person.
What should I do? Contact my marker? I’m thinking of calling Athabasca directly tomorrow.
