2026 Hybrid CRV Sport Touring powered down mid-drive
About 3 miles after leaving my house this morning, my ‘26 hybrid CRV (5k miles) unexpectedly displayed all sorts of engine notifications, stopped propelling forward despite giving gas and just shut down to a rolling stop. Just enough time to get myself slightly off the road and put in park. If this was on the highway, I would have caused an accident. When trying to turn the car on, all notification lights appeared and the car wouldn’t come out of park into neutral to push it off the road. The car was useless. Apparently it is pretty complicated to manually put this car in neutral.
The car was towed and I’m waiting for dealership assessment. I’ve had no issues and loved the car until this moment. Scary enough to consider trading it in though.
