Reducing hours

Hello everyone!

Recent grad here, about to complete one year working for this nonprofit. We got the grant for my position from the county and my contract will be renewed for another year. (Fixed term- yay!) however the director sat me down and proposed that instead of working 40 hours, I work 32. (Fridays are remote work) he said something about budgeting and “making room” and wants me to think about it and get back to him on Thursday. This is my first ever “real” job and I don’t want to do anything to rock the boat, especially because it’s on a yearly basis, but I also don’t want to make less money. Does anyone have any advice or experience with this? Any help is appreciated!

Hello everyone!

I am in need of some serious help/ direction. I graduated high school in 2018, took the community college route. Due to a series of circumstances ( not knowing what I wanted to do, financial struggles, pandemic, etc.) I’ve been in and out of community college. I took a few classes but none of the basic Gen Ed stuff because I didn’t really know or look into what to take. I talked to a counselor at the beginning who just gave me a generic class route for transfer and sent me on my way. Life happened and I had more pressing issues to attend to.

Cut to now, I have a full time job in a field I’m incredibly interested in, and I want to get my bachelor’s degree. I would appreciate any advice on how to get started and how to do it with a full time job. Any insight would be greatly appreciated! (yes I’ve done some research on Google but none of it has been helpful.) does anyone have an experience or resources?
