Using WordPress block themes in Drupal
Turns out WordPress components can be turned into Drupal Single Directory Components, and the SDCs can be used by Canvas, Display Builder to build pages.

Friendly reminder: fill out and share the first-ever Drupal Ecosystem Retrospective survey by September 20!
The Drupal Association is conducting its first-ever Drupal Ecosystem Retrospective. This is a good opportunity to directly give the Drupal Association your candid feedback and thoughts about what you feel is going well and what needs improvement in the Drupalverse.
The due date for filling this out is September 20, 2026 (I have no idea if there’s a specific time; I’m just a random Drupaler who wants as many people in our community to be heard). The due date happens to be the weekend before the Drupal Association’s board retreat and shortly before DrupalCon Rotterdam.
Anyways, please consider filling this out and/or sharing with other fellow Drupalists!

C-section and getting up/down for tummy time
I’m 7 weeks postpartum and we’re starting to incorporate more tummy time on the floor for our little one. But, holy moly, me getting down onto the floor to keep her engaged and eventually back up again seems to take much more effort and energy than I can ever remember prior to my c-section!
Please tell me it’ll get easier with time‽ 😟

Did you know about the Drupal Association’s board election?
The election for the community-elected At-Large board seat begins next week from 22 July at 00:00 UTC through 14 August at 23:59 UTC.
There are 8 great candidates running. Do learn about the candidates; their candidate profiles are linked on https://www.drupal.org/association/board/elections/election-2026-dates-and-candidates ! You can also ask them questions in the drupal-association channel in Drupal slack to get to know them more.
You can vote if you’re a member of the Drupal Association and your membership is active 24 hours before the voting period begins (so it must be active by 21 July 00:00 UTC). If you’re not a member but want to vote, you can either join the Drupal Association as a Ripple Maker or contact the Drupal Association to request a no-cost membership.
Figured I’d share this here in case anyone has been out-of-the-loop!

She won an exemption from using AI at her tech job. The Pope's remarks could fuel similar appeals.
