Just watched the show On pointe on bilibili, I heard that Zoe featured in the show ended up leaving corps of NYCB … do anyone know if she still dance and if yes , where ?
I would just like to know where the main 6 dancers featured on the show ended up ? ( for instance one became soloist at NYCB I think ) . What about the guys featured in ?
Well just listen to dancing with the shadows podcast … lot of thoughts but I think the dynamics between dancers, directors and board members was well explained and super interesting.
Do you think ABT suffers from the same problems that NYCB is riddled with ( predatory relationships, lack of care …) or is the grass always greener ?
What is the reputation of ABT on how they treated their dancers , on how they work as a company ?
Apparently , during Noureev time in POB as a director and choreographer him and Dupond had a love hate relationship…
It lead Dupond to leave POB and seems to have sabotaged his international career as a dancer ? What do you think is the cause ?
And do you guys know any other instance of a director kind of screwing over a talent in the company ?
PS: what are your opinion of Patrick Dupond ? ( he is legendary in France)
On the men section I really think Enzo Saugar , Lorenzo lelli and Keita Bellali are great for further promotion … before Shale Wagman comes in . Let’s hope there is a first male dancers promotion this year …Do you guys see anyone who could be first dancers or Etoile material in the sujet division ?
Bianca Scudamore was promoted first dancer for 2026 . It took her 6 years compared to the beginning of a career where she was more casted and promoted fast . What do you think happened ?
By the way , what do you guys think of her as a dancer ? I wonder if she really has a chance to become an étoile or did she reach her limit ?
I have noticed that the royal ballet always seems to attract the dancers who have won prizes ? Why is it that much more prestigious compared to Paris Opera ballet or Bolchoï ?
