The Vegetarian felt less like a story and more like a quite psychological storm to me, what stayed with me the most was how deeply it explores identity, control, silence and the way society reacts when someone chooses to step outside what is considered "normal".

For me the book was not about Vegetarianism alone but also how every other individual goes through their own battles and has their own way of forming an understanding of a particular situation. Sometimes, when we judge something only by what appears on the surface, we often fail to understandits true depth until we look beyond it and see the wider perspective.
