I rarely see this wonderful b-side getting talked about. To me it almost vaguely sounds like …Baby One More Time meets Depeche Mode. The lyrics by Neil are haunting and evocative, and his vocal performance is very good IMO.
What do you think of this track?
I constantly see contemporaries of theirs like Depeche Mode and New Order pulling intergenerational crowds at their shows, or having one of their tracks blow up to some extent in social media among that demographic.
There are of course many young fans in the PSB fandom, but in most shows it really is mostly people from around Gen X. I have a really hard time understanding why they don’t appeal as much to young people (at least in my experience).
