This is the ship between Vox and Baxter. I don’t know if this has already been done, but I thought of it and I couldn’t resist. I decided the name Shok.wav parents was extremely simple but too fitting to pass on.

It makes a lot of sense when you think about.
First, it was confirmed that Vox’s shark was made by Baxter and the two of them would have had to work very closely to make this happen.

Second, speaking of working together, we know that Baxter has been working with Vox for a number of decades.

Lastly, I just feel like there was some romantic tension between the two in the finale. Especially when Baxter muted Vox and said he always wanted to do that.

What do yall think of it?

I’ve been seeing mixed thoughts and everyone’s entitled to their opinion ofc. In my opinion though as a fan from the pilot era of Hazbin Hotel, this video was a huge nostalgic trip for me, and the animation was amazing.

I’m surprised that there is anyone who agrees with this, it feels unfair.

The video did say “official” but that was just because it was saying it’s a BlackGryph0n official music video. In the actual video itself, it very clearly says that it’s NOT CANON. So I don’t get it 🤷‍♂️

And before anyone comments about the BlackGryph0n drama, I am not informed enough to comment on that, this post is strictly talking about the video itself.

Well I’m creating a Hazbin Hotel AU meant to be a prequel to the original Hazbin Hotel Pilot. And eventually after the prequel it will pick up right where the pilot left off!

So the main gimmick to my AU is EVERY characters backstory and/or death is connected to a MAJOR event in history. Of course I have to make other slight changes to characters so that it can make sense that they had a connection to an event.

Another major gimmick is it’s meant to better communicate the original version of the show and be more true to the pilot of Hazbin Hotel. It is after all a prequel to the pilot, and takes place in the same Hazbin Hotel Universe.

One of the more major things I had to change for the history theme was Alastor and Vox. I don’t want to give to much away but for my Alastor and Vox to have backstories that connect to a major part of history, and still make sense for the characters, I had to make them father and son. Alastor being Vox’s father. But that is really the only MAJOR change I made for this historical events theme to work.

What makes my AU different from the normal Hazbin Hotel universe:

The inclusion of Jack Hayden

EVERY character needing a backstory/death connected to a major historical event.

Alastor being Vox’s father.

It taking place in the pilot version of the show.

HENRY
Enough shop talk. Watch this — midnight special, just for the Bicentennial. Biggest show on the Strip.
Henry flips a switch. The first rockets launch with loud WHISTLES and colorful bursts across the sky. Then — one firework on the launcher MALFUNCTIONS. It spins wildly, aims directly at Henry with a sharp whine.
JACK HAYDEN
(eyes widening)
Mr. Henry, look out—!
A deafening KABOOM. The firework slams into Henry’s chest and explodes in a burst of sparks and flame. Henry jumps up like a scared cat, he is engulfed instantly, staggering back as fire spreads across his suit and body.
HENRY
(screaming in agony, still jumping up in a wild, startled CAT-LIKE leap — limbs flailing, back arched in shock before he crashes down)
AHHH—!
JACK HAYDEN
(reacting fast, voice urgent)
Garnet! Go get help! Doctors, security — anyone! Now!
GARNET
(horrified, backing away)
Oh my God— Henry!
Garnet hesitates for a split second, then runs for the stairs. The rooftop door slams behind her, leaving Jack and the burning Henry alone amid the ongoing fireworks exploding beautifully in the background.
Henry writhes on the ground, flames licking higher, his screams guttural and desperate. Jack stands frozen for a beat — flashbacks of his own past violence crossing his face — then moves with grim determination.
JACK HAYDEN
(voice tight, kneeling beside him)
I don’t miss out on opportunities when I see one, and as I look at you here defenseless, all I see is an opportunity for Vincent’s broadcast. You should have made the deal when I gave you the chance… I’m sorry… I’m so sorry. This’ll be faster.
Jack grabs a heavy metal casing from the launcher setup and begins beating Henry — swift, driven strikes to the head and torso, adding more damage to the body as the man burns alive. The sounds are muffled by the celebratory fireworks.
JACK HAYDEN
(through gritted teeth, almost to himself)
Not evil… just… had to…
Henry’s movements finally still, looking like a husk of his former self. Jack drops the object, breathing hard, hands shaking as distant cheers rise from the Strip below. Sirens begin to wail faintly in the distance.
FADE OUT.

So here is a brief description of the “Jack Hayden’s tales from the past”, Hazbin Hotel AU. Jack Hayden is a self insert OC that I’ve been using for years before this project, but the only thing you need to know about him for this is he’s obsessed with fame and was sent back in time as a punishment.

Jack’s time in the past has him witnessing the creations of many of our beloved Hazbin Hotel characters, all of them having their death/backstory connected to an important historical event. Examples: Alastor dying in WW1, Vox dying the day after the NYC blackout of 1977, and Valentino dying during the height of the AIDS disease in America.

INT. VINCENT WHITTMAN’S PRIVATE OFFICE - TELEVANGELIST STUDIO - JULY 1976 - DAY
The office is wood-paneled and dimly lit by a single desk lamp. A large wooden cross hangs on the wall beside a shelf of pristine Bibles. VINCENT WHITTMAN sits behind a heavy oak desk, fingers steepled. JACK HAYDEN (19, still in his out-of-place hoodie and jeans) paces nervously, clutching a paper cup of lukewarm coffee.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(calm, fatherly tone)
Take your time, kid. You said they called you evil and flung you back here. Start from the beginning. I’m listening.
JACK HAYDEN
(stopping, voice shaky but eager)
Okay… In my time — 2025, I made videos. I was trying to blow up, you know? Get famous. Millions of views, sponsors, the whole thing. I was obsessed. Still am, I guess. That’s why I started doing scary Minecraft videos.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(raising an eyebrow, amused)
Minecraft? That some kind of… future genre?
JACK HAYDEN
No, it’s a video game, they become popular in a few years. But this game, Minecraft, it had a reputation of fake scary stories of people witnessing things in the game, so I thought I’d give it a try. I staged all these fake hauntings — creepy sounds, jump scares, fake blood in the game. Thought it’d go viral. It flopped. Zero views. So I went deeper. Found these weird instructions on how to build a shrine in the game. Said it would bring real scary stuff. Actual paranormal shit. I built it.
(Jack’s eyes light up with that old hunger)
JACK HAYDEN
It worked too well. Something… attached to me. This digital entity. Made me even more desperate for fame. I couldn’t stop thinking about it — the views, the subscribers, being somebody. Then this place called O.E.C. — Online Entity Control — they found me. Kidnapped me. Locked me in some facility, ran tests on the thing stuck to me like I was a lab rat.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(leaning forward, genuinely intrigued now)
They studied you… while an entity was in you? like a demon possession?
JACK HAYDEN
(nodding fast)
Pretty much. I was terrified. I just wanted to make videos, man. I escaped. Fought my way out. I… I killed people getting free. Security guards, scientists — whoever got in my way. I didn’t want to. I swear I didn’t. But I was scared, cornered, and that entity was helping me… helping me escape and get my fame…
(Jack sinks into the chair across from Vincent, voice cracking)
JACK HAYDEN
They caught me eventually. Said I was evil. Punished me by ripping me out of my time and dropping me here. The guy ordered to do it was named Seton, I knew him back when I was being… tested. Seton took pity on me and allowed my brain to be attached to digital accounts I had in my time. I’m still able to interact with the future by posting things and stuff like. Even right now I can see into the future through whatever people are posting modern day. The posts just appear in my mind… and with a thought I can just instantly post things. I’ve done a lot of evil things… but I’m not evil, Vincent. I was just a kid who wanted to be known. If they hadn’t grabbed me, if that thing hadn’t attached… I never would’ve hurt anyone. And I don’t want you to worry but… that thing… that entity… is still attached to my body, it’s just been weakened.
Vincent is quiet for a long beat. His face shows calculated sympathy, Vincent relates to this young man’s story in a way he wasn’t expecting, but nevertheless his eyes gleam with opportunity — a young man with a supernatural story, a built-in creature that has abilities unknown, and no one in 1976 who can claim him.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(soft, almost gentle, placing a hand over Jack’s)
Kid… the world chews up hungry hearts and spits ‘em out. I know that pain. I’ve buried parts of myself so deep even God might not find ‘em. I’m gonna tell you something I probably shouldn’t but… I’ve killed people too. And just like you I did it out of fear… fear that I wasn’t good enough to move up through the television industry. I’m trusting you with this secret and I swear if you go around telling people what I said, I’ll throw you in the looney bin faster than you can say fame.
(Vincent’s voice gains quiet intensity)
VINCENT WHITTMAN
But… moving on. We could build something here. A testimony. With your entity and the ability’s it has! NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET ABOVE US!
JACK HAYDEN
(hesitant but clearly tempted, fame-hungry spark returning)
You’d… do that? For real?
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(smiling excitedly, though something colder flickers behind it)
Of course. We’re family now. Just remember — in this ministry, I’m at the top. Always. You stay under my wing, and that fame you crave? It’s yours. In due time though, I’ll want you to keep a low profile for a bit.
Jack nods slowly, unaware of the dangerous bargain he’s just accepted. Vincent leans back, already imagining the empire this time-lost boy could help him build… or the threat he might one day become.

EXT. BUSY NYC SIDEWALK - JULY 1976 - DAY
The humid summer air shimmers off the pavement. Horns blare, pedestrians in bell-bottoms and polyester hurry past. Suddenly, in a faint ripple of light that no one else seems to notice, JACK HAYDEN (19 years old, modern clothes looking wildly out of place — sneakers, jeans, a faded hoodie) materializes. He stumbles, eyes wide.
JACK HAYDEN
(breathing hard, spinning around)
What the? Okay, this isn’t funny. Hello? Where the hell am I? This isn’t… this can’t be real.
He grabs a discarded newspaper from the ground. Headline: “BICENTENNIAL CELEBRATIONS CONTINUE — JULY 1976.” His hands shake.
JACK HAYDEN
1976?! You’ve gotta be kidding me. I was just with that scar faced f_ck that wanted to send me back to some time, and now—
While Jack rambles to himself, there is another person, A well-dressed man in a sharp suit and flashy red tie, VINCENT WHITTMAN (mid-50s, polished televangelist smile, one eye green, the other eye blue, carrying a leather briefcase), stops a few feet away. Everyone else on the sidewalk walks right past Jack like he’s invisible. Vincent tilts his head, intrigued.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
Well now… that was quite the entrance, kid. Most folks don’t just appear on 42nd Street like the Good Lord dropped ‘em from Heaven. You all right?
JACK HAYDEN
(looking up, panicked)
I— I don’t know. One second I’m in the year 2025, the next I’m here in 1976. This has to be a dream or a prank or— wait, how did you see that? No one else even blinked!
Vincent steps closer, glancing around to make sure no one’s paying attention. A calculating glint in his eye, but his voice stays gentle.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
Opportunity has a way of announcing itself, doesn’t it? Name’s Vincent Whittman. I got a television ministry that reaches millions. Folks call me the god of entertainment… but between you and me, I just want to help people into a brighter future. But enough of that, looks like you could use a friend. And maybe a hot meal.
JACK HAYDEN
(standing up slowly, but talking quick)
Brighter future? Then you’re the exact person I need! Look, mister, I’m not supposed to be here. They said I was “evil” or whatever, sent me back in time as a punishment. I’m from the year 2025, and I know that sounds insane and you have no reason to believe me… but you’re the only person that noticed me.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(chuckles softly, placing a hand on Jack’s shoulder)
Evil? Kid, I’ve met evil. You don’t have the eyes for it. And insane? I just saw you appear out of thin air, so if your insane then I must be too. Tell you what… come with me. My studio’s just a few blocks away. We’ll get you cleaned up, figure out this “time travel” business of yours. Could be the start of something big. A testimony that’ll fill seats.
(Vincent’s smile is warm, almost fatherly, but there’s a flicker — something hungry behind it. He sees a blank canvas. A tool. Maybe even a son.)
JACK HAYDEN
(hesitating, but exhausted)
I don’t have anywhere else to go… Fine. But I’m watching you, man. No funny business.
VINCENT WHITTMAN
(grinning wider as they start walking)
Wouldn’t dream of it, trust me. By the way — you ever been in the television industry? Because I got a feeling the Good Lord sent you to me for a reason.
They disappear into the crowd. Vincent glances back once, a darker, satisfied look crossing his face for just a second before the caring face returns.

(A little background information on Jack Hayden, which is me.)
Jack Hayden is fame obsessed. In Jack Hayden’s time he was a video maker. Jack decided to try and make a scary Minecraft video to hopefully make himself famous. Jack Hayden attempted it by staging all these fake scary events in his Minecraft world. None of it worked so Jack found something real, something online that gave him instructions on how to build a shrine that will bring real scary events to the Minecraft world so that maybe he could record it and become famous. But this idea backfired and an online entity attached itself to Jack making him even more obsessed with fame. A place called the O.E.C (which stands for “online, entity, control”) this place kidnapped Jack to study the digital entity that was attached to him from the Minecraft world. The entity’s motives was only to merge with Jack. The entity was willing to do anything for Jack Hayden as long as he agreed to merge. Jack Hayden wanted to escape and become famous, so they made a deal. The entity would free him and make him famous, and Jack Hayden agreed to stop resisting the merge. They became the Haydentity. They learned that they could spread their control to other people by doing mind control on people, but only one at a time. Jack, as the Haydentity, eventually escaped and killed many people and because of this he was tracked down and sent back in time as a punishment. The O.E.C employee doing this took pity on Jack and decided to allow Jack’s brain to be attached to Jack’s Instagram account. This allows Jack to use his brain to still be up-to-date with the present and still post things online, even though he was sent into the past. But the amount of time that passes for us, doesn’t convey to the same amount of time for him. Jack killed and hurt many people in his time, but the truth is Jack would have never hurt anyone if it wasn’t for the fact he was kidnapped and scared, and desperate for fame.

Please comment if I have missed any but from what I can think these would be the only 3 that come across as real truly great depictions of the Mad Hatter.
