As a 2500 bullet player (98% percentile) I'm effectively losing about half of my games where I'm constantly being outplayed. Anonymous chess has always been unruly but at this point its unplayable. I remember as a 2200 I thought I was on top of the world going on 8-10 game winning streaks. I rarely go on such streaks these days playing anonymously.

My impression is that the anon pool is full of soft cheaters. They either start with complete troll openings, often giving up material, to then turn superhuman and win. Or, they play like positional geniuses for 30+ moves making it virtually impossible to get any play. If I was logged in I would accept this level of play against other 2500+ players but there is no way the average anonymous player is also 2500+ in strength. I don't know how people cheat in such a manner but my guess is that if they can mimic human play and still cheat who knows how much online cheating truly goes on.
