Forced to wear shoes full of rocks!?
My 5 year old Daughter started school this week and today was her second full day. When I went to pick her up from school she came out crying and instantly sat on the curb and took her shoes off. Once she was in the car I asked her what was wrong and she told me after recess her shoes well full of pebbles from the playground. She said once she was in class she raised her hand and asked the teacher "may I please get the rocks out of my shoes because it hurts my feet?" The teacher responded with "No" and went right back to teaching. My daughter spent the rest of the day walking around with shoes full of rocks. By the time school was over her feet hurt so bad she was struggling to walk. Am i crazy or is this outrageous!? That's a child in pain and discomfort! I told her if this happens again try to clean your shoes out before you go back in to school but if you still have rocks in your shoes you should raise your hand and tell the teacher you're going to empty your shoes in the trash bin and you just get up and do it even if told no. I promised her she will not get in any trouble and the teacher can call me if it's an issue. I guess I'm just venting but has anyone else had a similar issue?
