...if I were a worm question answered in Love What's Left by Evangeline Williams

We finally have the answer for....if I were a worm question

—“if you were transformed into a worm, I’d keep you in a jewel-encrusted box with the most luxurious dirt available. I’d feed you worm-food delicacies hand-prepared by a gardener whose sole purpose was the creation of your cuisine. I’d carry you around with me everywhere I went, and your box would rest on a pillow beside my head at night. People would say, ‘What’s in the box, Gabriel?’ and I’d regale them with stories of my incredible worm wife and tell them, ‘the love of my life is in this box.’ I would travel vast oceans and arid deserts, devoting the entirety of my existence to the pursuit of a cure. And, finally, when you stood again by my side, Vengeance would become my middle name. I would seek out and destroy the villain who dared to transform my love into a worm and smite the ever-loving fuck out of him with your name falling from my lips so that, as he passed through the portal of hell, he did so knowing he’d burn for eternity for his trespasses against you.”

She covers her smile. “Okay, that’s funny.”

“The only funny part is that you think I’m kidding.”

Book titles and their Repetitiveness

I have a genuine question.

Do romance authors not check the market before selecting a name for their book or is it done deliberately?

I searched for {cold as ice by toni anderson} today on kindle and there are at least 25 books with the exact same title. I get it for some because they have near zero or zero ratings so maybe they are new , inexperienced etc etc. but then there are some with at least a 1000+ ratings

So why ?

And this happens with so so many titles.

I now get happy when I find a unique book title

All mafia romance lover assemble - Velella by C.W. Farnsworth

I have always loved a good mafia romance book. But most books these days are severely lacking - either in terms of story , spineless mfc, disrespectful mmc, lack of actual chemistry and just smut in the name of a novel.

This one had it all. Chemistry. Suspense on how the two will actually get together. Had turns. Fmc who knew what she wanted. MMC who wasn't unnecessarily an asshole to show he is in power. Quite calm MMC . Both willing to go to any lengths for each other. Sufficient sex without it being the only thing in the book.

A very beautiful find after a very long time.

Highly recommended

Which mistake in your opinion was unforgivable in a book

With exception of CHEATING

We all know that's a no brainer

But other book plots where you wouldn't have stayed in the relationship

I read a book that still bugs me to this day

It's {release by aly Martinez}

Basically the heroine is left in the dark about something for 12 years both by the hero and his sister who is her best friend. And something BIG

And she has carried that with her for those 12 years.

For me that's a betrayal. It shows me that you didn't think about me as a human being and what a burden so big will do to me. I as an individual would never be able to look past this

For those who wanna know what happens

>!the hero killed the guy who rapes fmc and is in prison and obv fmc feels like she destroyed his life. But it turns out that the same dude also assaulted the sister and it was her who killed him but the hero took the blame and both of them never told fmc. Not even after his release , she heard him accidently!<

Tell me a book scenario you didn't think was ok to move on from. Or the redemption was not worth it or not asked for.

Outdoorsy living in woods woman

Idk how else to title the post

But we have seen a hell of a lot of books with men living in cabins alone , chopping their own woods , isolated

I want a woman living like this and a man to come in her territory

Can be western historical as well , a self sufficient woman in wilderness , or a healer (love those)

But not fantasy, sci-fi type things

Mf pairings only

Met through emergency

I want the main characters to meet through a traumatic experience involving one of them, with the second person responding to it. I'd prefer the FMC to be the one in the traumatic situation and the MMC to be the responder—he could be a police officer, first responder, doctor, firefighter, or something similar.

I don't want it to be a meet-cute. The FMC shouldn't even really notice him at that point. The incident should be major, life-altering, and a central part of the story.

One book that come to mind is {The Birthday List by Devney Perry}

But not like Susan Stoker's or Jamie Crouch's books, where the story revolves around security, protection, or ongoing threat.

I want the focus to be on their lives, their love story, and how they live with and heal from what happened.

I hope the distinction makes sense. 🙏🏽

CR, MF only.

Not a fan of most romcoms ? Try this - Fornever Yours by Natasha Anders

If you are someone like me, who do not enjoy most of the rom-coms, where they feel that most of the banters are unnecessary, forced, and lacks that deep actual connection, then you are gonna love this book. Both the characters had depth. It was fun, steamy and weepy. Probably one of the rarest of the rare book where they start by sleeping together, because generally I'm not a fan of that. By summary or by listing, this book contains most of what I usually do not find appealing, but it surprised me in a very good way. Recommended for people who want a normal book where you can see the characters falling in love (something which is exceedingly rare these days I don't know why).

A gooooood mafia romance after sooooooo long

Ik everyone raved about {Kotik by Alina Dobrova. It was different for sure but I felt something lacking , an emotional connection. I love a good mafia romance but haven't found a good one in at least a year now.

Got one yesterday

{Second Son by Mallory Hart}

I personally felt this book to be fantastic , didn't have the usual mistreatment of women , unnecessary crudeness , just a touch of violence , enough age gap , enough chemistry, enough push and pull to make it interesting.

If you read mafia , please give it a try on my suggestion if you haven't till now

Betrayal revelation post death

I am thinking along the lines of {From the Embers by Aly Martinez}

Dead spouse + betrayal is revealed slowly post their demise

First there needs to be genuine grief

I have read more books on this theme but can't remember it rn.

Bonus if it's like the above , double betrayal
