Local McDonald’s starting charging for salsa packets lmao

For a long time I’d been getting a single breakfast burrito every single morning. The owner of my local McDonalds decided an extra hot salsa packet was going to be an up charge. I always get 2 packets so I accepted 1 without paying the upcharge.

This was 3 weeks ago, and I haven’t been back for breakfast since. Sometimes I think about how much less the sauce packets are than the burritos, and how much they are losing from me per month now that I’m not going for breakfast most mornings on my way to work. I cannot believe more people don’t change their routine around this nonsense. The app only lets me put 1 and I have to ask every day in the drive through order time. I tried asking the handoff person about it and they said it was a new policy from management.

Vote with your wallet. Each individual purchase matters. If you think stuff like that is unacceptable, actually forgo pleasure. That’s the point I’m trying to make in this post.

Edit: it’s now precisely 25 cents extra per packet if you want more than one with your sausage burrito.
