I can't seem to find replacement parts, can anyone help point me right?
As the title says, I'm having a bit of trouble.
I have two of the pieces of my late dad's VERY old wooden furniture (sofa and arm chair) that use a type of support I haven't seen before and can't seem to find a replacement for. (Picture included) There are spring hooks that attach to a sort of wire grid/mesh/somethin'. We are missing a couple of the springs and the grid has broken in a couple of places. The grid is interesting because the wires that go front to back are relatively rigid but the ones that connect these front to back wires to each other seem to have a lot of give and are a bit bendy. They may not even be wire, I'm not sure. Everything is coated in a thick black coating of some sort.
They aren't completely lacking in support but simply aren't doing a great job anymore. I don't have the heart to replace the furniture so I'm trying to restore it a bit with new cushions and trying to repair/replace the supports.
I've seen a ton of replacement parts for sofa supports in my search but nothing that is like this. Anybody have a clue on where I can go to get replacement parts?
