The Fire are once again on a winning streak. It may not have been the most aesthetic soccer ‒ from either side ‒ but sometimes, there's something beautiful getting your hands (boots?) dirty in a hard-fought victory.
The snarky thing that I didn't write is "it's stunning how quickly everyone forgot what a losing streak feels like," but I guess we learned that, too.
Lots of shots, not enough goals as the Fire can't score while up a man. Overall, it was a rough 8 days for the Fire, but that means there's more to learn.
End of the day, it wasn't a loss that needed to happen but if this is what the Fire needed to remind themselves that losing isn't fun, then maybe – just maybe – it'll be worth it.
