I just pulled her after buying one more box! I'm screaming, I've never pulled anything larger than a 1/24. I can't believe she is 1/480! She's so fluffy!!

I have no self control. Figured brand new cases was my best shot of completing sets without duplicates! I got the surprise for the clowns 🤡almost all of my clowns have special eyes too which I thought was interesting!

I love the V3 gothic lolita because they are fluffy like the Yetis but in dresses.

I picked up this letter because I found the date and contents fascinating. The letter itself is dated June 30th, 1946 and the post mark is July 1st, 1946, the day of the first nuclear bomb test in the Bikini Atoll. I understand this is after WWII ended but I figured it had relevance. I believe the contents read as follows but I'm not 100% sure:

"Dear Mom,

Will write a few lines on this is the eve of the world's most scientific experiment which I will see tomorrow if the weather is clear, I really hope it is because then everything will go great as planned.

By the way have this put in the paper and send me the clipping.

Tonight at 1630 we will get under way for Bikini Atoll and will arrive in the early hours of the morning.

Reveile(sic) will be held for the air department at about 400 in the morning so they(?) can warm up the aircraft to be launched from the Shangri-la before the Bomb test all our planes will be sent up with out(our?) pilots and taken over the atoll by there(sic) mother(?) plane to be flown(?) through the bomb blast(?) and readings of them will be taken when the bomb goes off above the target ship.

Most of the men aboard this ship are anxious to see the bomb dropped and it will be a very exciting time in all our lives.

Every one (sic) not actually on watch will be on the flight deck of the carrier to see the burst(?) just eight seconds after the "A" Bomb explodes above the targets in the Bikini Bay.

After this test we plan to go to pearl harbor and then to San Diego Calif. Where we will be until our time is up to be in ____(?) For Dry dock and our leave home will ____ ____ before for now.

I'm not sure of even the first name of the sender, but I believe the letter is addressed to Florence Conley(?) in Marshall, MI. I would love to know more about the person who wrote this so I could document it and keep it with the letter.
