My best thrift find ever: 99¢ for a First Trade Edition of Stephen King's The Eyes of the Dragon!
Long time lurker, first time poster. I’ve been slowly building my King novels by thrifting, flea markets, and garage sales for some time. Today’s Goodwill run had me happy dancing in the aisle. Spotted this 1987 copy of The Eyes of The Dragon when browsing through the children's section. (Not in the best of shape but she beautiful to me 😤)
(I love how King wrote this for his daughter Naomi because she wanted to read something by him but didn't like his usual. Makes finding it in the kids section even more heartwarming imho)
I told the cashier I found it in the kids section but it was technically an adult novel. She just smiled shrugged, and charged me the standard 99 cents instead of the 4.99.
This has easily been the biggest win of my collecting journey so far.
TL;DR since I'm super giddy and yapping too much found 1987 first trade edition of The Eyes of The Dragon in kids section for 99 cents.
