I recently got into 3d printing and I got this printer from my brother but I already broke an extruder because of blobs. I switched extruder and now I want to know how to prevent this moving forward.

after a printing error and there was a blob behind the machine. when I tried to heat it up to remove it an error message appear it’s said something about not heating up as expected(I do not have a picture). After tinkering a bit with it I was able to heat it up again but now there is smoke
