I just wanted to let you guys know I got called yesterday for IBEW Local 11 Bootcamp. I applied in January of 2026, submitted my PEF in February, took my aptitude test on March second, got my POE placement exactly one month (30 days) later in April. I originally placed 29th on the list, a couple months later I got bumped down to 82nd, and shortly after the other bootcamps started I got bumped back up to 28th. I stayed there for a while and just got called for bootcamp. I think they had about 2, maybe 3 bootcamps for local 11 before this one I just got called for (August 18th 2026). I had so many questions about the timeline so I wanted to share my experience.. I’m not sure what to expect from here, as far as after bootcamp. Bootcamp starts September 14th. Tell me everything I need to know about the apprenticeship. 😗😗

I’m on short term disability- and currently not working. I applied for IBEW local 11 and am sitting at 26th on the POE. I heard they were calling around for bootcamp, and started last week. I haven’t yet received a call and I’m wondering if being on disability affects getting called up to bootcamp… does anyone know? Thanks :-)
