Conditional Offer Rescinded
First time posting on this subreddit. I was in the process for a large department . I got a conditional offer, went through background checks, psychiatry evaluations, and a physical. I had a Chiefs review scheduled for tomorrow. They called me this morning and said they had to cancel due to the chiefs not having enough time to review my file. A couple of hours later I get this email. Felt like I just needed to vent, disappointed but I’ll keep on applying.
I have been working as a Wildland Firefighter for 5 years, looking to make the switch. I’m currently in a Firefighter 1 academy for my volunteer department, maybe that will increase my chances. Is there anything else you guys would recommend I do to be more competitive in the process?
