Stuck at 900-1000 ELO

I’m stuck at 900-1000 ELO. Am I the only one who finds engine analysis useless for actual learning? Does investing in an actual chess coach worth it or is there anything reliable that I can use online that actually teaches me at this level?

Launching a PH-designed board game with global ambitions

Hey r/BusinessPH!

I’m currently gearing up to launch a passion project turned business: a resource strategy board game. The mechanics are locked in, playtesting has been incredibly fun, and the core concept revolves around the toxic, chaotic realities of work.

While the theme is highly relatable globally, I am developing this out of the Philippines but aiming for an international market (via e-commerce/crowdfunding).

As I transition from development to commercialization, I’d love to get the community’s insights on a few things:

  1. International Logistics from the PH: For those who sell physical products abroad, do you fulfill directly from the PH using international couriers, or have you found success utilizing overseas third-party logistics hubs?

  2. Local vs. Overseas Manufacturing: Tabletop components can get highly specific. Has anyone had success manufacturing high-quality print/card/component products locally, or is sourcing via overseas manufacturers (like in China) still the standard for global distribution?

  3. Early-Stage Funding / Angel Investors: We are looking to connect with potential early-stage investors or angel backers who see the potential in the global tabletop gaming market. For PH-based startups selling digital or physical products globally, what networks or approaches worked best for you when looking for early champions?

If you are an investor interested in the tabletop/gaming space, or a fellow entrepreneur who has walked this path, I’d love to connect in the comments or via DM!

Thanks in advance for any tips or leads!
