BART previously updated their ridership numbers each weekday on their website but in the past 4-6 weeks have gotten somewhat sporadic with no update since June 18th.

The deficit is $318 million. They collected about $295m in fares and parking from riders in 2025.

In 2019, BART collected in the mid-500 million in fares. The deficit is mostly accounted for by that.

BART actually saved money in recent years by reducing service and only restoring a small part of the reduction as ridership recovered somewhat.
