Are there any remnants of the Spanish system of measurement in your country?

Are there any remnants of the Spanish system of measurement in your country?

For my home country, Canada, it's quite notorious for using both. This graph even leaves out the fact things like garden hoses are still sold in yards or paint coming in gallons to this day.

But in places like Russia they still use a "pood" (about 16kg) for weight lifting even though Russia went metric over 100 years ago.

Are there any remnants like this in Latin America? Even phrases count.

The best era of photography was the 1840s and 1850s

And I say this for one specific reason: it captures the real faces of legendary historical figures.

The Duke of Wellington (the man who defeated Napoleon at Waterloo), San Martin, Andrew Jackson, and all these other famous people who were in their prime decades prior to the 1840s lived JUST long enough to be photographed. It's simply amazing.

It confirms those paintings really were accurate to life, and in some cases like San Martin the paintings are borderline perfect of his real face. Of course these men were all very old by the 1840s, but you can still see it's them, it's like looking at a photo of your grandad when he was young.

What exactly is up with the low impressions?

My newest video from 3 days ago is currently sitting at only 3k views due to lower-than-usual impressions. Usually, by now my videos get 10k views, or very close to.

The video is 19 minutes long, has 226 likes, 1 dislike, a 4% CTR, a 40% AVD, (87% of views are not subbed) and this video is an installment in a very successful series I have.

Why is YouTube not recommending this video like it does my other ones?

Could our hunter gather ancestors communicate with the same language?

Today mankind is divided by all sorts of languages and dialects, but how would this have impacted our nomadic ancestors? if a tribe travelled for over 500 km and came into contact with another tribe, could they still communicate or would there be major problems? Realistically, how far COULD a tribe go before a language barrier occured?
