mildly interesting: sandal imbalance

In the process of replacing my old footwear and noticed an interesting difference between my slides. For reference, I have a bipartite left sesamoid and high arches — which I found out about long after wearing down these shoes. The difference in wear-and-tear in the big toe area really showcases how differently our two feet can stride, with vs without fracture

how to cut insoles

I’ve heard of folks cutting up their insoles in order to offload the sesamoid. If you’ve done this, can you please share a pic so I can get a sense of how this is done?

Also, did you cut up the insole that came with the shoe, or did you buy a separate insole to cut/insert?

Many thanks in advance!
