Best curtains for privacy advice?

I hope this is okay to ask here because I feel like I’m losing my mind over something as simple as curtains haha

I need some tips/suggestions on the best curtains for privacy. I’ve been searching for weeks and I feel like I’m still not sure what to get.

I recently moved into a small condo with my daughter. The unit is nice and the windows bring in a lot of light which I like. The problem is the building across from me is so close that I can literally see people at their dining tables. So… if I can see them, they can see me too right?! I don’t like the idea of strangers catching a full view of our space especially at night when the lights are on. It also makes me feel unsafe since it’s just the 2 of us

I looked at blackout curtains but does it not make the room feel like a cave during the day? I like having natural light in the morning so I just need something that keeps the inside view private. I tried those sheer curtains people recommend for a soft look, but they did nothing. I checked from outside just to be sure and you can see everything once the lights are on.

Some people say to get layered curtains. Like a sheer layer for the day and a thicker one for the night. But that means installing a double rod which means I’m gonna need some drills. I don’t want to mess up the wall because I’m renting and I don’t want extra charges when I move out someday. I know I could get someone to install it for me but that’s another cost and I’m already trying to be careful with my budget.

I also tried looking at those privacy films for windows. They seem easy enough to apply but I also read mixed reviews. Some say they peel off fast and some say they trap heat.

I DIDN’T IMAGINE THIS COULD BE DIFFICULT!!!

So if you guys can please share an idea or two on how to make this work, please do! Huhu thank you in advance <3

Best RV mattress options for full-timers? Need something that won't sag after a few months

My partner and I just switched to full-time RV living and we’re already running into one issue: the mattress. The one that came with our rig is honestly pretty uncomfortable. It feels thin and kind of worn out and we’ve only been using it for a short time. I didn’t expect it to bother me this quickly but here we are.

We’ve been looking around and trying to find something that can actually hold up with daily use. I saw other similar subs always recommending Brooklyn Bedding Signature Hybrid when people talk about RV mattresses. Is it a real recommendation? I mean, is it really really that good for an RV setup? Does it also keep its shape after a few months or years?
