Microsoft 365 Admin Agent to keep track of upcoming changes

Am a big fan of these monthly Reddit posts which summarize the key Microsoft 365 updates that we as admins need be aware of.

I came across this Copilot agent from Microsoft called Microsoft 365 Admin. Tried using this to summarize the updates and it was quite useful. Sharing with the community here if you would want to leverage it going forward. You need an admin account to access this.

What are the upcoming changes in July 2026 based on Message Center posts that I as an admin should be aware of. Categorize these into Retirements, New Features, Enhancements, Functionality Changes, Action Required. Add detailed information.

Result:

I pulled Message Center posts that are scheduled/updated for July 2026 (and adjacent July rollouts) and grouped them for admin awareness.

Update after 2.5 years

Previous post: https://www.reddit.com/r/FIRE_Ind/comments/196jugp/taking_a_career_break_in_fire_journey/

Background: 33M, Single, No plans to get married, Parents not dependant, Job in IT

Updates:

  • Thank you for all your inputs on the previous post, but I did not take a career break and kept dragging along. Still feel burnt out and unmotivated most of the days. (or should I say I dread working). The intent was to slack and keep pushing to move closer to full retirement from this job rather than quitting now & finding it hard to join back again. Right now I'm in this mode where I'm trying to do bare minimum and I know I'm on the radar to be fired. But I'll wait until they fire me and not quit myself. The thought of quitting comes to mind everyday but holding myself back.
  • Trying to focus a bit more on health - eating healthy and working out. I've seen so many examples in my family where people started seeing health issues in late 30s. Don't want the same thing to happen to me.
  • Tried and still trying for a job in Europe. But no luck. If I ever get a job there, idea is to stay there for a few years, explore a bit and return back (I have my parents here to take care of).

Numbers:

  • FIRE target changed: Previously it was ~3cr. Now I moved it to 5cr assuming 10lakhs per annum expenses. (50x). I don't own a house.
  • Income: ~3.5 lpm.
  • Expenses: Basic expenses ~50-60k a month. The rest is set aside for travel or other recreation which is ~3-4 lakhs per year (upper limit).
  • Current status: ~3.5 cr.
    • Split across different assets:

What next:

  • Reduce company RSU and diversify to other assets.
  • Take at least 1 year break - I've set myself a date of end of 2028 (when I turn 36) for this. If I reach the FIRE goal by then, its great and it'll be an indefinite break. Otherwise, I plan to find some remote role (even if its lower paying) to meet expenses.
  • Focus on health as the primary thing and work comes secondary.

Inputs I'm looking for:

  • Is owning a house (even a small one in Tier 2/3 city) needed for RE? I feel I won't be staying at one place for too long and right now it feels like this is not needed.
  • Should I be considering the real estate plot also in corpus or it should be left out as it is not liquid?
  • Any inputs on the asset allocation and if I should be doing anything differently?
