I wasn’t surprised that all three went in the lottery, but I was definitely surprised that Morez went higher than both Yaxel and Mara. All signs pointed at Yaxel’s floor being 12 at worst and Mara was definitely a candidate to go at 8, but I figured Morez’s ceiling was gonna be at 13 or 14. Looking back at media reports from Dusty May throughout the season, it seems more obvious that Morez was his “true” favorite of the trio.
Anyone else had the same thought/reaction?
The 2026-27 season is cooked before it even started. Hopefully, most of the roster stays intact for whoever comes in next, but I’m devastated.
