Hi peeps,
Considering we will have options to choose from different timeslots for in person tickets?
Which timeslot is preferred based on your experience? I understand that we can spend any number of hours once we get in.
Can I buy the in person tickets with Card or I need to bring Cash?
We will be our first Peruvian day in AC so would love to know if Cash is King in Peru or it’s mostly used by local vendors so we can plan our trip accordingly.
Where we can check Machupichu weather regularly to plan our day?
Heyy peeps,
We are reaching tonight to Cusco at 11:25pm and will take the train from Ollantaytambo to Machupichu at 05:05am and get in person tickets.
How is the safety in night to travel from
Cusco airport to Ollantaytambo train station? We are planning to user Uber.
How big is Ollantaytambo train station?
I know it’s a long shot, but if you are also having similar itinerary hit me up.
Update: Landed at Cusco airport around 11pm. Taxidatum had not drivers available. Airport taxi were quoting 65-80 USD.
1 Uber driver cancelled and other was on the way, but a driver outside the airport agreed to take us for 150 soles. There were road closures so it took bit more time around 3 hours . Reached Ollantaytambo train station at 2:45am and the ticket buying area was well lit and with security guard around.
Around 3:30 shops started opening and local buses came to drop locals travelling to Machupichu for work.
Hi peeps! We will be arriving in AC tomorrow and after getting in person tickets would love to explore or hike nearby.
What are the recommendations, we can also do multi day hikes or camping before our visit to Machupichu.
Heyy folks,
We are planning to arrive via Hydroelectrica route - looks like we will reach around 4pm at Agua Calientie.
Credit to another Redditor who build the ticket monitor to check the in person sales.

Seems like we won’t be able to get the 2A ticket for the next day.
Any advice on what will be the next best route to get few good clicks and check the ruins.
Or should we just chill and wait another day to get the 2A experience?
