Bigger dice pools for a Stargate game

I'd like my players rolling more dice.

So far the trait sets I have are Attributes, Skills, Distinctions.

That seems too few.

What other trait sets could I add?

Relationships seems like it could help, but in my experience with Hammerheads it can be difficult to bring in the character connection.

Resources could work, but in classic SG-1 they don't tend to bring much gear with them, and certainly don't have a ship with them.

Live, Dice, Die, Repeat

I have a one shot in mind- the party have just stolen a magic item from a powerful witch. She comes after them and kills them. Then the adventure resets, as the magic undoes an amount of time. The adventure ends when the reach a defined safe place.

Would be low level characters in a fantasy game (Black Hack Fantasy Age, DCC)

Things I'd like advice on

I) how much time is undone? A few minutes, an hour, all the way to the beginning, a set save point m

II) how powerful is the witch? Is she instantadeath, or is it a longer fight? I feel like she shouldn't turn up too often.

III) fun ways for them to learn about what the magic item is doing.
