New synth day: Access Virus TI Darkstar
Score!!!
This thing is a beast! And so easy to program, too. The final boss of synths!

I've wanted a Virus for a while and right now I can get my hands on a Ti2 Darkstar for what seems like a steal. It has a couple of scratches on the underside, the top is pristine, still has a crispy old screen protector on it, and it apparently works just fine (I will test, obviously).
I see some for sale with prices that seem a little inflated, so what's the *actual* going rate for one of these in 2026?
Oh and do I need to look out for any capacitor issues or anything like that?
Cheers

Despite proving very popular with the r/synthesizers community, my last post was unfortunately and unceremoniously (albeit rightly) removed by an honourable member of the moderation team, due to it being "low effort". With this in mind, I shall therefore "retool" said low effort post, and will henceforth endeavour to keep the discussion more highbrow, with eloquent turns of phrase and mayhaps even a poem or two, should the mood strike.
So please, good patrons of r/synthesizers, join me in posting tales of your most deeply regrettable synthesizer purchases. Name and shame that heinous hardware.
I shall begin with my own, most despised of synthesis products... le Teenage Engineering OP-1 - which, despite initially being whorish fun and having a body seemingly sculpted by michaelangelo himself, also hinges on a tape workflow which is indubitably (for want of a better word) "wank".
Your turn, plebians.
