Frustrated with large commercial deployments.

Has anyone had better success or advice on how to navigate Ubiquiti with larger deployments?

For reference, I have an enterprise customer looking to replace all of their random managed—mostly Hikvision—systems with one unified platform. It's 22 warehouses ranging from 120k to 180k+ sq. ft., operating as a 24/7 facility.

I put up one test site that’s been live since February. So far, I've run into several issues:

  • Entra Integration: Getting Entra enabled failed initially due to a "no active gateway" error (this was eventually resolved).
  • Network Drops: Frequent network drops where the ENVR refuses to reconnect online without a forced restart.
  • Smart Detections: 3 to 4 random cameras will suddenly stop recording smart detections for weeks on end.

I'm a UniFi Partner, and I pay for MSP 8x5 support. I've reached out to both an Engineer and an Architect, but I'm starting to get a bad taste in my mouth with the level of support I'm receiving.

The first round of support for the Entra issue was great—they were aware of the bug, stayed in touch, and even assisted me moving to an early adoption release to get us up and running. 5 stars!

The other issues, not so much. In fact, for the last round of problems, I was basically asked, "Did you turn it off and on again?" Yes, I sent multiple screenshots and detailed logs explaining the entire issue, and that is the response?

The Architect was a very nice guy, but when I reach out regarding a $50k project hoping to use newly released cameras, please don't just read the documentation back to me. Please have a deeper understanding of your own product.

These are my main gripes. I know no manufacturer is perfect, and I think UniFi is doing some amazing things with their features and software updates. However, I’m experiencing major hesitations about rolling out a large-scale system across the remaining locations.

(I would use Hanwha as my backup, in case anyone was wondering.)
