Moving Out for the First Time, What is a Reasonable Rent?
I am 37F and have lived with my parents my entire life. I've had some health issues so lost some years. Now earning 98k in hand per month in a relatively stable field.
My doctor has cleared me to live alone as long as it's relatively nearby for at least one year before moving farther away. Parents are still not in favor and dad keeps pointing out the financial aspect.
I want independence and peace and quiet and I think that is worth it.
Since I've never lived alone or rented I am unsure of what my budget should be for rent. Due to health issues I don't want any flatmates.
I have no loans, EMIs, or major financial commitments. I plan on cooking and cleaning myself so that's also not an expense. I don't have subscriptions beyond youtube. I don't really shop much except for books every few months.
What should I budget for rent, considering my salary?
