My second nami tattoo, and the start of a non-canon anime sleeve.... I wanted nami, but I also love steampunk.... So here we have steampunk NAMI.....
So I have this tattoo on my right shoulder blade, and I'm getting ready to do my next tattoo, which will be the same character, but sort of steampunk with a robotic arm, side, and back, it will be on my right shoulder/bicep... ( Sounds a bit weird I know, Im basically going to do a bunch of non-canon anime characters on the arm eventually)
The problem I'm having is the outfit. I *really* want to do the new tattoo with the same outfit as my current tattoo, but my wife says I should do a different outfit because it will look weird to have two tattoos in the same outfit. The issue is I really only have a few different canon outfits to choose from because she wears a lot of white and red outfits, and I need something that's not going to cover her side or back... I've basically narrowed it down to the one on the current tattoo or one of the other outfits in the other pictures (the picture pointed are not the actual tattoo I'm getting, just examples of the outfits I'm considering).... The tattoo is only got to be waist up so the bottoms don't matter.
Sooooo.... Do we think it would be weird to have the same character with the same outfit on the same shoulder blade and arm, or should I go with one of the other ones...
The one on the left is Roobee, she's almost 2 and we call her monkey sometimes because.... Well, just listen.... The one on the right is Mochee, she's Roobee's baby, and almost 9 months old. She's starting to earn the nickname baby monkey....

So the original intent of this tattoo was because my daughter and I went on a whale shark dive together in Mexico, so we wanted to get whale shark tattoos, but not necessarily "matching" tatoos.....

She got an amazing realistic black and grey whale shark around her ribcage.

For mine, I don't have any interest in "realistic" tattoos, so it was definitely going to be animated/cartoonish. I thought, well, I love one piece, so how about nami riding a whale shark..... It's on my back/shoulder.

I am very happy with how it turned out. The same artist who did my daughter's tattoo did it, even though she doesn't normally do color...

Yes I know this is a terrible rendition of a whale shark, and yes my whale shark has teeth, because I wanted it to have teeth. Whale sharks actually DO have teeth, they just aren't anywhere near this big. Yes I know the nose is wrong, yes I know the eyes are wrong.... Again, this is a cartoon whale shark, not a realistic shark.

Re: namis' tatoo.... Yea it's positioned completely wrong. I was originally going to have the tattoo facing the other direction because that would have been the proper"facing forward" positioning, so the arm tatoo wouldn't have been visible, but after applying the stencil everyone (including me) decided it should face the other direction so the stencil was flipped and the tattoo began. Between the first and second sessions I realized with the new direction her tattoo should be visible, but forgot to say anything untill the tatoo was 95% finished. The artist freehanded the tattoo, and I approved it, I thought it looked great but didn't even consider the position... again, 🤷

I recently saw a cute picture of a seal on here and I realized that I don't have a single picture of my dog in "seal mode" because I love her giant ears, so anything I get with them down just gets immediately deleted....
Soi decided I should probably save a few, here is Roobee, in seal mode vs doggo mode, with a bonus picture I took at the same time that looks like bad AI, but it's just my goofy dog and weird lighting.😁
