Yesterday I moved my truck into a dock and then back out so the other truck driver could get into the dock after they finished with me. I got there after another truck the night before so I parked off to the side so they could go first. Turns out I had stuff on the trailer they needed first so they asked if I could back into the dock. Moved forward under 5mph and then backed into the dock. Once they were finished I pulled out so the other driver could have the dock. Today I get a phone call and told we can't do that because if I wreck I would be off duty. I am seriously irritated and am wondering if I am correct that this isn't a big deal or am I in the wrong and it was a dumb thing to do.
