F1 & David Coulthard's F91W

A little bit of interesting F91 trivia that I don't think I've seen discussed here is that ex F1 driver David Coulthard used to have an F91 attached to his F1 car I think in the late 90s. F1's qualifying format in those days was a simple 1 hour session where you had 12 laps to set your fastest time. The 1 hour format lent itself perfectly to the f91s simple stopwatch feature. I've linked a video here where ex McLaren F1 mechanic Marc Priestley discusses this with popular sim racing YouTuber Jimmy Broadbent. I've tried to search the internet with an actual photo of Coulthard's F1 cockpit with the F91 attached but I couldn't find anything. However it's often included in sim racing car models (sorry for poor image quality but the watch is just about visible beside the instrument cluster).

F91 discussed at 17 minute mark:

Newer F91 changes

I've just bought a new F91W from Argos today & I'm just wondering if anybody else has noticed subtle changes from ones manufactured about 6 or 7 years ago? The watch on the left is my new one & the one on the right is my old one (with a strap change). I was aware that the "u" has been dropped in the newer models but has the case resin/plastic changed colour too? The newer one looks more like a dark charcoal colour than a shiny black colour like my old one. Also the keeper on the watch strap looks to be more rounded (the replacement strap I bought for my old one had the same style of keeper on the strap. The replacement strap was an almost like for like replacement of the original strap except being slightly longer). The strap also just feels a bit different like there's been a slight change in materials? Just wondering if any other Casio nerds have noticed these tiny changes or am I just going mad?
