Career direction.
Hey everyone.
Hoping I might be able to gain some insight on here. I’ve been in the trade for about 18 years, with a few breaks in between for different reasons (travel, had a brief stint doing some carpentry work).
For the last 9 or so years I was contracting. Working mostly doing small maintenance jobs, high end residential and small commercial. Which I enjoyed more than working for someone else, but I was feeling a bit burnt out at the end of last year and came across an opportunity to get off the tools in an office role for decent money in the EV charging space.
The new role isn’t quite what I was expecting, although it’s giving me a bit of breathing space and I want to use this time to find an area to move into with an avenue for growth.
Has anyone here gotten into a specialised space that they’re loving? Or recommend a specialty to look at? Has anyone here done their building ticket and would recommend that?
Im open to any suggestions, thanks.
