Hi everyone! Me & my fiance are looking to get a dog soon as we just bought a house. I’ve always wanted a basset hound but he’s fighting me on it. He thinks they’re “annoying” & is insisting that they probably don’t stop howling since they’re hound dogs (I don’t know how much they really howl, I’d assume it depends on the dog but as far as being annoying, they seem like very chill dogs) what are some pros & cons of basset hounds? Do they get along well with young children (my baby will be 1.5 around the time we’re planning on bringing a dog in & he’s a little wild child right now). Also have a cat, how are they with cats?
