Hey, sorry if this was asked here before. I wanted to buy the Ultimate edition since it's on sale, but on EU Square Enix store there is no way to buy the ultimate edition, just the latest expansion.

If I switch to US Square Enix store, I see it. Am I forced to buy the game on Steam, even though I would rather not have a game that requires a subscription be tied to Steam?

EDIT: Thanks for help, I will buy on Steam. I was wary because FF14 for example is tied to Steam completely as a separate license.
