USB hub ate my MicroSD card

EDIT (for people who might encounter the same problem): I watched this video

https://youtube.com/shorts/jxT2kJ6cEXo?is=utVk4pHJQe-aHlAC

I tried prying the side without the cable, since i can't seem to separate the seam of the cap on the cable side.

When my flat screwdriver dug in between the aluminum (?) case and the black plastic cap, I forced it open. Black plastic cap broke, 1/3 of it got removed with the rest stayed in place. I tried sliding the micro sd card out through the broken hole but it is still won't pass cleanly. I wedged my flathead into the outer side of the usb A port, deformed it, and the micro sd card finally retrieved

Micro sd card still works

Miraculously, the entire USB hub also still works, even the deformed USB A side (i tried inserting a sacrificial usb A just to mold the opening).

Also to add, I was surprised it hasn't been a whole month (bought april 18, day of incident is may 13), so I contacted Temu AI customer service. They just refunded the $3 usb hub and didn't even ask for proof or return (which I can't return anyway with the microsd card stuck inside)

ORIGINAL:

Sorry, don't know where to ask this

I bought a usb hub from Temu. It works fine

But one day, when I inserted the micro sd, it went more than it should. I tried to fish it out using my nail, but it ended up getting pushed all the way through. It is loose inside, you can hear it rattle when shaken.

I'm thinking of opening it but there's no screw. There's plastic on both ends, which i think i have to loosen so I can slide the content out but it's too tight, I don't even know if it's the right way

Help

Haphazardly made DiY cover

a little bit envious of those who bought the official magnetic flip covers, but the price (for me) seems too much for what it is. Besides, I also prioritize protection above all else, so I chose the TPU case. Really worried after I kept seeing shattered screens just from a single drop.

Cover is just made from a box of medical wound dressing, taped back to back. Got a cling wrap-like plastic that adheres to the back of the TPU, and covers the hinge area with another plastic so it doesn't adhere to the side (and avoid dust from sticking to the sticky part).

I might improve it and dress it up more, or even straight up remake it.

Or better yet, if I think i don't want it anymore, I can just rip it off and go back to just being a TPU-protected e-reader.
