Medicine is political

Why are do so some people watching the The Pitt fail to see or are confronted by that fact that medicine is inherently political, humanitarian, and universalist?

Sure it’s packaged in character driven realism and other plot devices but this is work, it has always been the work and that will never change. Healthcare as a universal right is one of the most political acts imaginable.

Anti shipping is so uncessary

Anti shipping is so incessant & unnecessary.

God forbid people appraise, theorise, fantasise or have any critical thought. I wonder if antis consider why someone’s opinion dismantles or threatens their systems so much?

Boiling it down to optics, hot people, toxic, internalised misogyny around enemies to lovers just shows how little they understand the fandom. We don’t need convincing.

Other ships of intense vilification I don’t specifically ship all of these, curious if any of these resonate here

Dramione

Spike & Buffy

Rey & Kylo Ren

Percabeth

Mel & Langdon

I’d create a poll but it won’t let me put multiples.

Non- procedural private practice should I let it quit while I’m ahead and focus all my energy on getting a public appointment?

Long consultations / high medical complexity / high patient expectations & burnout prone field. Let alone the high overheads, indemnity aspects and business side. Trade offs would be satisfaction in the medicine, freedom, flexibility & the rare thankful patient to name a few.

Perhaps my skin is too thin for this…
