apartment location

hi all! moving to sopas soon and am debating between two locations. one is super close to the 110 (like 50ft), the other is on huntington drive near fremont. I know neither probably has stellar air quality, but I was wondering if anybody has any insight on which place might see less pollution/noise, or are they roughly the same. thanks in advance!

110 pollution levels

hello! apologies if this is not allowed but I was looking at an apartment right by the start/end of 110 in pasadena. I really like everything about it but am worried about its proximity to the freeway. it's not like it's the 405 or 101, and noise isn't my biggest issue—I am more concerned about air quality. I'm hoping to stay in this place for a few years but don't want to end up with possible health issues from the car exhaust/tire dust. the landlord and a couple residents I've talked to said they haven't had any issues but any insight? thanks!

hi all! apologies if this is not allowed but does anyone have any insight on these two bags? I've been borrowing a friend's 65l and it feels way too much so I tried on a bunch of bags at REI. these two fit the best so just narrowing it down now. there's a pretty hefty price difference between the two (kyte 48 $240 vs ariel 55 $350) so leaning towards kyte but I'm also trying to think long-term

I'm pretty new to backpacking, only been on a few weekend trips and atm still only doing 2-3 night trips in groups, so no need to pack my own tent/cook system. my biggest concern is that maybe eventually I will want to start going solo more and carry my own tent, cook system, etc. fwiw, I've got a HG quilt and S2S ultralight sleeping pad, hike primarily in california/pnw spring-fall, and generally good at packing light but again I've only had experience with shorter trips. I would probably want to backpack abroad at some point (not for more than a week) and experience cold weather hiking

any input would be much appreciated. thank you!
