The Jude piece is kind of old but the Cardan piece is newer! I tried to draw them true to how I imagined them in my head back when I first picked this book up in highschool. Also there's a bit of symbolism how the blood and wounds (thanks to the thorns) in Cardan's piece are in a similar shade to the roses that surround Jude ☺️
This is a companion piece to my version of Jude (which I've posted here before), note that the color dripping from his neck is very similar to the roses that surround her.

I tried my best to capture how I imagined him when reading but it's difficult to get it down to a T. I did my best though!
An old piece I did I believe last year! Technically a redraw of a much older piece I did years ago when the book first came out.
I remember reading The Cruel Prince all those years ago and being so surprised at having my first 'morally grey' FMC, she will always hold a special place in my heart for that 💜
