I grew up in a town with a large Vietnamese population and ended up in Houston where you can throw a rock in any direction and hit at least two good and one badass Vietnamese restaurant.

In 8 years I haven’t had any really good Vietnamese food here. I was having dinner with a buddy from Houston who lives in Boston, asked him about it, and he said the same thing.

I know it exists here and I just haven’t found it. I gave up after 3-4 letdowns so I know this is partly on me. I’m willing to own that and try again.

Send me away and I’ll report back. Even if it’s a sandwich shop that happens to have a good banh mi (or poboy). Thank you!
